500 Palestinian couples having refugee lives in Syria, married with a mass wedding ceremony in Yarmuk camp.
The wedding that the Chiarman of IHH, Bülent Yıldırım also participated was participated by 100 people among the IHH voluntaries. There was participation for the wedding from Istanbul, Konya, Kayseri, Adana, Zonguldak and Diyarbakır. Also there was participation for the wedding from Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway and Sweden.
IHH presented the 3 trucks of dowry materials donated by Istikbal Mobilya to the married couples. Also a thousand dollar aid per couple, totally for 150 couples 150 thousands of dollars were given. Also volunteers who came from Turkey gave an aid of 50 thousands dollars to the wedding couples.
In the wedding ceremony that started with Quran reading, The Chairman of IHH, Humanitarian Relief Foundation Bülent Yıldırım spoke. Nevvaf Tekruri, said “ Especially may Allah bless our brothers who came from Turkey. We thank IHH and the charitable Turkish people for their contributions. Turkey in every platform has been with our people and the justified resistance of Palestine. We are grateful to the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish people”.
In his speech the Chairman of IHH, Bülent Yıldırım pointing out that they are always near the oppressed people, said till the end they will be the followers and supporters of the justified Palestinian case. Yıldırım determining that Palestine and Masjid Al Aqsa will certainly be independent one day said,” Inshaallah a day will come that we will make these gorgeous weddings in free Palestine. We have nothing to lose. For us death is shadah, exile is a Hegira. Do not forget that our hearts always beat together.“
15 trucks of aid for the refugee camps
Besides the couples who married in Syria, IHH, Humanitarian Relief Foundation distributed the 15 trucks of emergency aid materials in the refugee camps as Tenf, Hol, Yarmuk, Handenun, Aleppo, Hinis donated by the charitable businessmen. So a part of the needs of these refugees were met before Ramadan.
