In August the Syrian people were attacked 3 times with "bombs containing chlorine gases." With the assistance of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation`s Australian donor organization Global Humanitarian AID, they sent oxygen tanks and medicine to Kafr Zeitun located in Syria`s Hama region.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation took action by sending medical aid to Kafr Zeitun located in Syria`s Hama region. In August the Syrian people were attacked 3 times with "bombs containing chlorine gases."

With the help of our Australian donor organization Global Humanitarian AID, medication and oxygen tanks were brought. They were then loaded into vehicles from IHH`s office located in the Reyhanli region. After a long journey they were delivered to the town of Kafr Zeitun.

In order to be prepared for any possible attacks during the journey, gas masks were purchased. The medication and oxygen tanks were then handed over to a doctor who works in this region, Dr. Ebu Hasan.

Hasan thanked both Global Humanitarian AID and IHH. He also said "We have came accross patients who show symptoms of chemical weapon attacks. Just in case we have more attacks, we would like to have more supplies in our hands."

3 CHEMICAL ATTACKS IN 1 MONTH

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation`s Syrian Coordinator Mohammed Yorgancioglu stated that this region has been exposed to chemical attacks 3 times this month. However, it has not been bought up in the agenda as much as East Damascus`s Gut region.

Yorgancioglu recorded that this situation was lived before; action was taken as soon as they requested medication to help against chemical attacks.

Yorgancioglu stated that supplies obtained were delivered to the center which is used as a hospital, "This hospital is one of the only hospitals in this region however, it cannot be said that it is very hygienic. The reason for this is not because the doctor`s don’t know how to do their job but because there is very little facilities in the hospital" he said.

Hasan said that they are in need of medication and oxygen tanks in order to help those who have been attacked by chemical weapons.

ABOUT GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN AID

Australia`s Global Humanitarian AID organisation has been supporting IHH with their Syrian projects since the conflict began. They are providing support for the Syrian refugees and IDPs through various projects.

They have been more interested in providing long term help especially in building tent cities or educational training. However, they were one of the first organisations to provide aid when there were chemical attacks and emergency help was needed.

SRGC ANNOUNCED

On the 18th of July, the Syrian Revolution General Council (SRGC) implied that a helicopter owned by the regime attacked Kafr Zeitun region located in Hama with "bombs containing chlorine gases." After the attacks, 50 women and children suffered a choking hazard. People who were affected by the gases suffered symptoms such as contracting of the pupil, vomiting, dizziness and shortness of the breath. These people have been taken into the Sahra hospital for treatment.
