With its Ramadan activities across 67 countries, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered 3,000 food packages to Palestinian families living in Syria’s Damascus, Aleppo, Daraa, and Latakia.
IHH's Syria Media Officer Selim Tosun said that the holy month of Ramadan marks the acceleration of humanitarian aid activities in Syria.
Tosun stated that Palestinian families who had to seek asylum in Syria prior to 2011 due to Israeli attacks were exposed to a second war there, "The war in Syria also affected Palestinian families. In areas like the Yarmouk Camp especially, long-lasting sieges caused great tragedies. Throughout the war, we did not leave the Palestinian families in Syria alone. Even today, debris can still be found in the regions where they lived after the war. We hope for a swift recovery of all of Syria."
"We distributed 3,000 food parcels to Palestinian families living in Damascus, Aleppo, Daraa, and Latakia. The food parcels contained cooking oil, dried legumes, sugar, tomato paste, and breakfast items. A total of 3,000 families benefited from our distribution. We thank all of the donors who supported us," Tosun added.
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has been conducting humanitarian aid programs in Syria since 2011.
