Syria 26.03.2014

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation collected aids across Turkey as a part of “For the Right of Vicinity” and I Need Your Help” aid campaigns and sent them all to Syrians with 350 aid trucks.

The aid which included food, medications, clothing and sheltering material was delivered to the needy people in Syria.

The war entered its 4th year and since day one civilians have been targeted. In the past three years more than 170.000 people died and thousands of people were injured and millions of people had to flee their homes and become refugees in the neighbouring countries.

Due to consistent shelling innocent people are having a hard time to get basic stuff to go on their lives. While the international community turns a blind eye to this human tragedy Turkish public shows their support for Syrians through various aid campaigns.

In this regard, it is for the first time that 229 aid trucks at a time were sent out from across Turkey. While “For the Right of Vicinity” and I Need Your Help” campaings continued the aid trucks reached 350 in a few days which is a record.

The teams at IHH branch offices in Hatay and Kilis organized and coordinated the delivery of the aid in the refugee camps along the Turkish-Syrian border and in Aleppo, Idlib, Hums and Hama.
