To deliver humanitarian assistance to the besieged Syrians IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is working continuously.
Our aid teams took relief supplies with rafts via Orontes River to Derkush and Azmarin where heavy fighting has been taking place for days.
Derkush and Azmarin, two Syrian towns across from Hacıpaşa town in Hatay Province, have been bombed by fighter jets and helicopters of Syrian regime.
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation dispatched humanitarian supplies to Hacıpaşa to be distributed to the affected Syrians.
The supplies of 1.5 tons of flour, 100 packages of food items, and 600kg of milk for children were carried to the Syrian side of the border by IHH aid teams via Orontes River. The food packages contained cooking oil, macaroni, rice, olive, bulghur, dried beans, red lentils, tomato paste, and sugar.
IHH teams had sent to the conflict zone one ton of flour, 2,000 liters of water, and 2,000 cans of food several days ago. The foundation’s aid workers delivered relief supplies to 150 Syrians who had fled Jabal al-Akrad region and took shelter in Güveççi village in Yayladağı, Hatay.
The Syrians, who left their homes and are now staying at the village mosque in Güveççi and most of whom are children, were distributed bread, canned food, and water.
