The march, which started in front of Fıstıkağacı Metro Station at 2:00 PM, took place with the participation of tens of thousands of people despite the rainy weather. The participants marched in procession until Üsküdar Square. During the march, slogans such as "Killer Israel, Collaborator USA, Long Live Global Intifada, the People of Palestine Are Not Alone" were chanted, and takbirs were recited.
"We will not leave the squares empty"
The program at Üsküdar Square, the final destination of the march, began with the recitation of the Quran. Dr. Durmuş Aydın, the Secretary-General of IHH, addressed the participants and stated that they had come together for Palestine, Jerusalem, and humanity. Aydın said, "We have lost tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and the West Bank. We will not leave the squares empty."
"13 thousand children have lost their lives in Gaza, where are you?"
Aydın, who said, "Jerusalem is in our hearts, we will not forget it," stated, "When 500 children lost their lives in Ukraine within a year, the world stood up. 13 thousand children have lost their lives in Gaza, where are you? We are here with our children, youth, and elderly. We will always be vigilant. The Palestinian case is a global case. Conscience holders from Mexico to the Balkans, from the Far East to the Middle East are on the streets. We are mobilized for Palestine."
"The ships will sail"
Reminding of Israel's attempts to block the Freedom Flotilla, Aydın said, "If ships are needed, they will depart from Europe, they will depart from here. But we will not give up our struggle."
"We will not leave our brothers alone"
Necmeddin Irmak, speaking on behalf of the Gaza Solidarity Platform, said that the struggle of Gaza against occupation is not only the beginning of Palestine but also the revival of the entire ummah. Irmak said, "We will never leave our Gazan brothers alone. A free world will definitely be established."
"We have requested flags from all countries for the ships"
Beheşti İsmail Songür, the President of the Mavi Marmara Association, recalled that Guinea-Bissau withdrew its flag from the ships of the Freedom Flotilla due to Israeli pressure and said, "We have applied to all countries, including Türkiye, to obtain flags. Our cargo, our passengers, all our technical preparations are complete. The ships are waiting to set sail in ports. We will not step back from this struggle. We will not take a step back."
The event ended with prayers for the Palestinians.
