Van local NGOs send truckloads of aid to Syria
Twelve NGOs have launched an aid campaign in Van for Syria under the coordination of IHH.
MiddleEast, Syria, Turkey 02.01.2013

A major aid campaign has been initiated for Syria in Van, which was hit by earthquake in 2011. Twelve nongovernmental organizations that launched the campaign with the coordination of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation dispatched three truckloads of aid supplies they collected to Syria via Reyhanlı, Hatay.

Charitable people from Van know well the harsh conditions Syrian people are going through as they fought extreme winter conditions in tents when the city was hit by earthquake. They are planning to collect 10 truckloads of humanitarian materials.

The trucks sent to Syria are loaded with supplies of tents, blankets, quilts, winter clothing, scarves, gloves, caps, towels and food items. The distribution of the supplies to the Syrians will be carried out by IHH aid workers in the region.
