The goal of the foundation’s project is to support orphans until they have become self-sufficient. The IHH will again prioritize orphans in this year’s Ramadan campaign that include 70 countries and 70 cities in Turkey. In addition to food pack deliveries, orphans in Turkey and worldwide will be gratified with clothes, stationery sets, Ramadan kid packs.

The IHH looks after 18,800 orphans in 31 countries and regions through its sponsor family system. Our donors finance all expenses of an orphan for a month by a monthly donation of 70 Turkish liras.

The need to raise the number of orphans included in the system becomes obvious considering there are millions of orphans in the Islamic world only. In Somalia, which was last added to the sponsor family system, Iraq, Palestine, Ethiopia, Sudan and Sierra Leone 1392 orphans are waiting for sponsor families.
