Africa, Zimbabwe 25.06.2015

IHH teams visiting Zimbabwe as a part of Ramadan campaign distributed food hampers and hosted iftar dinner to the needy families in the country.

In conjunction with IHH’s 2015 Ramadan campaign which runs with the motto of “Ramadan: Now is the Time to Share with Our Brothers and Sisters” IHH teams travelled to Zimbabwe to deliver food hampers and organize iftar dinner for the needy families there.

Fifty orphan children supported by IHH also attended the iftar dinner which had pilaf and a local dish Satsa on the menu. Zimbabweans broke their bread with the Turkish team and expressed their thanks to their Turkish donors. Following the iftar a prayer service was held with Muslims coming from the surrounding provinces.

During their 5-day-trip IHH teams visited villages of Mt Darwin, Mudzengerere, Chiutsa, Kasimbwi, Madziwa, Chakoma, Chakanetsa, St Alberts, Norton Areas, and Thompson Farm where they distributed food hampers to 600 families and hosted iftar dinners in the local mosques.
