IHH Central African Republic Crisis Report Was Published
A report about the dimensions of recent religious, financial and humanitarian crisis in Central African Republic was prepared by Africa Desk Coordinatorship of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
Africa, CentralAfricanRepublic 08.01.2014

Central African Republic has been experiencing a multi dimensional crisis that has political, religious, financial and humanitarian dimensions starting in December 2013. In the country where military and civilian loss of lives are increasing rapidly because of the battle environment, where more than 2 millions of people need help, where more than a million people had to leave their houses, where more than 1000 people were killed, in order to surpass the crisis a multilateral collaboration is needed. If normalization cannot be enabled in the country, people worry that events may get out of control and turn to an inter-religions conflict.

In order to give information about the country, to increase the bases of cooperation and to draw attention to the crisis going towards a inter-religions conflict in the country, a crisis report was prepared by IHH's Afrika Desk Coordinatorship, the first, Humanitarian Relief Foundation entering the country after the crisis. The report is the first Turkish report published about the crisis in the country and it is an important resource to activate many international foundations. In the report there has been an accurate account about the negotiations with the representatives of the non-governmental organizations, representatives of media organs and authorities of the government as well as the incidents experienced in the country.

In general in the report, the crisis is evaluated with various headlines as the general situation in the country, role of the Seleka coalition, the emergence of Balaka organization, the military intervention of France, the reason of the crisis, the role of the media, the situation of the Muslims and other ethnic groups, possible scenarios and advises.
