Turkey's 11th President Abdullah Gül paid a courtesy visit to IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and received information about the work the foundation is conducting.

Our 11th President Abdullah Gül prayed his Jummah Prayer at Fatih Mosque and then he visited IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation headquarters. Mr Gül was welcomed by IHH President Bülent Yıldırım, IHH General Secretary Yavuz Dede and IHH board members. Our 11th President Abdullah Gül was informed about the projects that IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is conducting in Turkey and in around the world. During his visits, he was given information specifically about our education and orphan projects.

He gives Qurban donations to IHH

Our 11th President Abdullah Gül visited IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and also made donations to IHH. The Qurban donations Mr Gül made for himself and on behalf of his wife Mrs Hayrunnisa Gül will be cut and distributed in Palestine and East Turkestan on behalf of them.

He shows special interest for the orphan children

During his visit; Mr Gül was particularly given information on the education and orphan projects. Mr Abdullah Gül received information about the projects and said, "Of course all the activities of civil society organizations is very much appreciated, but without no doubt the most valuable is humanitarian activities. I have always very closely followed and supported IHH's work, and I have always been proud to see their activities when I travelled all over the world. Therefore, I am congratulating everyone who has contributed.

IHH's priority in developing new projects especially for education, education for orphans and orphans is above any appreciation. This is something we all need to support with all our strength. The most valuable aid is the one given to the most in need. Without any doubt those in need are the children without a mother or father.
Therefore, it is evident that IHH is providing an outstanding service. I believe everyone will know the value of it and will make their best contribution. Once again, I am congratulating you, May Allah be pleased with you. The biggest rewards in this world and in the hereafter are the services you have provided."

IHH President Bülent Yıldırım gave a gift which was verses from the Holy Qur'an that was framed, to our 11th President Abdullah Gül. Imported from Africa, it was made by the orphans IHH is supporting; the Luhr (sheet) which is specific to Africa that was used for the education of the children was gifted to Mr Gül.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continued its support for orphans in 2023, providing assistance to hundreds of thousands of orphans and their families. IHH reached over 137,000 orphans every month in 45 countries, including Turkey, through the regular contributions of generous donors. The foundation operated 42 orphanages, 1 orphan education center, and 1 educational campus in 12 countries, touching the lives of hundreds of thousands of children through various projects.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation provided support to tens of thousands of Palestinians in 2023 through its humanitarian aid activities. IHH distributed food packages to 14,595 families and served hot meals to 219,865 people. It also implemented various other humanitarian aid projects in different fields.
