Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator visited Kahramanmaraş, where earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 had hit. During his visit, Griffiths also received information about IHH's ongoing work from IHH Search and Rescue Field Officer Ahmet Aydan Bekar.
Ahmet Aydan Bekar briefed Martin Griffiths about IHH's search and rescue efforts in the area.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Search and Rescue and Disaster Management units continued to strengthen disaster preparedness and response capacity throughout 2025 with training, operations and cooperation activities carried out both domestically and internationally.
