Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator visited Kahramanmaraş, where earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 had hit. During his visit, Griffiths also received information about IHH's ongoing work from IHH Search and Rescue Field Officer Ahmet Aydan Bekar.
Ahmet Aydan Bekar briefed Martin Griffiths about IHH's search and rescue efforts in the area.

With 44 orphanages and 1 educational campus in 12 countries, the foundation provided regular monthly support to 133,268 orphaned children in Turkey and 42 other countries through its sponsorship system.
