Convoy of hundreds of vehicles in Istanbul protests against occupation and oppression
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation organised a convoy of hundreds of vehicles to protest against the attacks carried out by Israel and the US in the region.
Palestine, Palestine-Gaza, Iran, Lubnan 08.04.2026

The convoy, which gathered on Vatan Street in Fatih, set off at 9.00 pm and passed in front of the Israeli Consulate. The convoy concluded in front of the US Consulate, having been organised to protest against the attacks and loss of life. Participants displayed flags and banners on their vehicles to protest the attacks. As the number of vehicles steadily increased along the route, local residents also showed their support for the convoy. A press statement was issued prior to the convoy. Muaz Talha Demirtaş, President of Istanbul İHH youth, delivered the press statement.

“Turning the Middle East into a sea of blood in the name of the ‘Greater Israel’ fantasy”
Speaking ahead of the convoy, Muaz Talha Demirtaş, President of Istanbul İHH youth, said: “We are witnessing great injustices across the Islamic world today. The systematic policies of aggression pursued by Israel and its greatest patron, the US, are causing irreparable suffering and destruction across a vast region stretching from Palestine to Yemen, from Lebanon to Syria, and finally to Iran.”

Continuing his speech, Muaz Talha Demirtaş said, “The occupying regime, together with global forces of evil led by the US, seeks to drag our region into a ring of fire. Infants, children, women, the elderly and civilians are being targeted by bombs. Heartbreaking news is coming from our region every hour, every minute. Their aim is to fragment our region, pit the peoples against one another, and turn the Middle East into a sea of blood for the sake of the ‘Greater Israel’ fantasy,” he said.

“There can be no peace without justice.”
Addressing the world, Muaz Talha Demirtaş finally stated: ‘We call upon the international community to take concrete steps against the lawless aggression of Israel and the US, upon the Islamic world to speak with one voice in unity and solidarity against this oppression, and upon human rights organisations to document war crimes in the region and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.’ It must not be forgotten that there can be no peace without justice. Acquiescing to oppression is oppression itself; we condemn these acts and once again declare our solidarity with the oppressed.

The convoy organised against oppression concluded in front of the US Consulate.
