Palestine, MiddleEast, Turkey 06.11.2012

Important evidence was submitted to the İstanbul court at the first hearing of the Mavi Marmara trial at the İstanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on Tuesday. A footage from the ship shot by a foreign activist at the time of the attack was submitted to the panel of judges.

One of the activists on board the Mavi Marmara who survived the attack carried out by Israeli armed forces, handed the footage to the court.

According to Ramazan Arıtürk, one of the co-plaintiff lawyers in the Mavi Marmara trial, an important development took place in the session following the noon break in the Mavi Marmara trial. An activist who came from abroad to attend the hearing submitted a footage to the court shot at the time of the attack of Israel.

The footage reportedly includes images of the Israeli soldiers’ attack on the ship.

It was noted that the foreign peace activist who was detained by Israeli forces after the attack managed to keep the footage carefully.
