The rally, which was attended by thousands of people, was launched with the speech from IHH Konya Branch President, Hasan Hüseyin Uysal, followed with the President of Konevi-Der, Ramazan Sönmez.

During the rally, slogans in support of the people of Gaza and against the apartheid regime of Israel and the US were chanted.

Addressing the crowd gathered at the rally, IHH President Bülent Yıldırım expressed the people’s anger and heartache due to Israel's attacks.

Yıldırım stated that Turkey has done everything possible diplomatically and emphasized the importance of aids being sent to Gaza as a respond to the Israeli attacks on civilians, hospitals, places of worship, and schools, which have caused a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Yıldırım also mentioned that the convoy will reach its final destination on Sunday and called on all conscience-keepers around the world to take action for Gaza.
