The "Freedom Convoy for Palestine," arrived at the Incirlik Air Base in Adana. The aim of the event was to protest the pro-Israel stance adopted by the United States in the face of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and to voice the plight of the civilians in Gaza to the world. With the participation of thousands of vehicles and tens of thousands of people, a massive rally was held in Incirlik. The participants protested the Israeli attacks by chanting slogans against Israel and the United States, waving Turkish and Palestinian flags.
IHH President Bülent Yıldırım said they came to Incirlik to strengthen the country’s position at the negotiating table in order to stop the attacks on civilians in Gaza.
Yıldırım expressed the people’s great anger at what was happening in Gaza, stating, "Our anger is immense. Türkiye is doing its best. They are currently sitting at the negotiating table. There are protests taking place all over Europe and America. Hopefully, these protests will increase…we have delivered our message with the participation of tens of thousands of people from all over Türkiye, and America has seen and heard it."
Yıldırım maintained that they are carrying out efforts to send new humanitarian aid ships to Gaza. "The President will support the organization of aid shipments with the Navy, you will see. We are buying new ships with the permission of Allah. We will go together. Israel has been defeated, they couldn't even enter Gaza by more than 200 meters. Israel loses tanks every day, they are being taken captive, they are losing their soldiers. We are fulfilling our duty to ensure that aids reach Gaza."
On Friday November 3, 2023, the "Freedom Convoy for Palestine," which started from Istanbul and was joined by thousands of vehicles and tens of thousands of people from all over Türkiye, concluded with a massive rally near the Incirlik Air Base in Adana on Sunday November 5.
