A Britain-based group of volunteers aims to send radio broadcasting equipment to Gaza in May, aboard one of the IHH ships set to break the siege. The group consists of 12 people who climbed Snowdon Mountain in Wales to raise the necessary funds. Snowdon Mountain in Wales has an altitude of 3,560 ft above sea level.
The group of volunteers will purchase radio broadcasting equipment and send it to Gaza onboard the flotilla which is led by IHH. The broadcasting equipment, once purchased, will be shipped to Makkah Mukarramah Charity Association in Gaza city, which is run by a scholar by the name of Sheikh Ahmed, a local Imam and a lecturer at the Islamic University in Gaza.
So far, the group raised close to £4000 from the trek, with more money still coming in from the very generous volunteers in Bradford.
