The prefabricated homes which will be set up over a 40,000 square-meter area have been designed to resist the winter conditions. Each of the houses has an area of 12 square meters and includes beds, blankets, a sofa, a table, a carpet and a heater.
After handing the keys of these houses to 60 quake-victim families, IHH plans to meet all the needs of these families in terms of hygiene and nutrition. In this regard, the foundation will establish 14 shower cabins, 14 WCs in a separate prefabricated building for the quake victims.
After the delivery of these homes to the quake victims, IHH will launch work to send new prefabricated homes to the region thanks to support from its charity donors. The cost of a prefabricated home is TL 8,000 (approximately 4,400 USD or 3,220 Euro)
