The trucks carrying food aid provisions prepared by Konya and Bursa organizations for those in need in the Syrian refugee camps have departed from Turkey.
Speaking at the sending off ceremony organized by IHH Konya, chairman Hasan Hüseyin Uysal said the aid will be delivered not only to Idlib but also to other regions in need in the rural areas of Syria.
“We thank our charitable people”
Uysal explained that the trucks contained necessary food packets. “We have forgotten how many trucks of aid we have sent to the region in total. But we are believers. We will try our hardest to fulfill our duties until our brothers and sisters overcome these difficulties. We learnt from our dear Prophet that we cannot sleep when our neighbors are hungry. This city displays great awareness in this aspect. There is no other city ahead of us in terms of aid. We pray for all the charitable people of our country. I would like to offer special thanks to the people of our city. May Allah grant them prosperity both in this world and in hereafter. Today we are sending 12 trucks. We will not cease our operations until the pain and hardship in the region ends.”
5 trucks of humanitarian aid prepared by IHH Bursa Branch was sent off with a ceremony attended by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Human Rights Committee Chairman Hakan Çavuşoğlu. The aid will be delivered to the refugee camps in Syria.
After the ceremony, the aid trucks were sent off to the region accompanied by prayers.
