IHH has organized grand iftars in 39 cities across Turkey including Istanbul to raise funds for new outfits for 10.000 orphans in the upcoming eid al-Fitr.
The iftars were aimed at covering the cost of 10.000 new eid outfits for orphans in Turkey and abroad.
IHH president Bülent Yıldırım, board members Hüseyin Oruç and Murat Yılmaz, writer Abdurrahman Dilipak and journalist Turan Kışlakçı attended the iftars organized in 10 different neighbourhoods of Istanbul. Meanwhile in the fund-raising iftars in Anatolia head of municipalities and regional muftis joined in.
Iftars Will Continue in Istanbul and Anatolia
Iftars organized with the banner of “Gathering in Iftar for the Ummah’s Orphans” will continue in 16 June in Sultanbeyli, in 17 June in Kağıthane and in 20 June in Kartal of Istanbul while those scheduled to take place in Anatolia is as follows; in 10 June in Erzurum, Trabzon, Giresun, in 14 June in Siirt, and in 15 June in Uşak and Manisa.
