Israel has been carrying out massacres in Gaza since October 7, reaching genocidal proportions. The Zionist forces indiscriminately bomb the city day and night, targeting mosques, churches, hospitals, schools, and civilian settlements, resulting in the martyrdom of 14,854 people, mostly women and children. Thousands of people have been injured or disabled due to the attacks.
The urgency humanitarian aid is increasing day by day
Israel has put the Gaza strip under a blockade since 2007, hence completely isolating it from the rest of the world. The current war only worsens the situation because under constant bombardment, the people of Gaza were unable to access even basic living materials. The people of the enclave face not only the threat of human rights violations, but also the risk of epidemic diseases.
For Gaza, the urgency of humanitarian aid increases day by day.
Aid is coming
On top of IHH’s other humanitarian aid efforts for Gaza following the October 7 attack, we have also organized a humanitarian aid campaign, through the delivery of 8 trucks of much needed aid. The aids were loaded onto a dry cargo ship in Istanbul and sailed to the Mersin Port. After being collected by AFAD at the port, the aid will be transported to Gaza through the coordination of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The aid sent by İHH consists of 166,752 canned foods, 120,000 masks, 25,032 wet wipes, 15,528 baby diapers, 8,064 sanitary pads, and 2,700 adult diapers.
