Iraqis delivered Qurban meat
The IHH humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered sacrificial donations of Turkish Muslims to war-weary Iraqi people. Sacrificial animals were slaughtered and their meat was distributed to needy people
Iraq, MiddleEast, Turkey 17.12.2008

People in war-stricken regions spent Eid al-Adha in a sad mood. Muslims particularly in Iraq, where the possibility of peace is still little, were gratified by donations sent from Muslims worldwide.

The IHH, which organized Qurban campaigns in 110 countries and regions, slaughtered sacrificial animals and distributed the meat to impoverished Iraqis.

IHH officials distributed sacrificial meat to needy people in Kazimiyah and Sadr neighborhoods as well as Karbala and Basra. The Iraqi people who were delivered aid expressed their thanks to people of Turkey for extending help in Eid al-Adha. The foundation also distributed clothes to 50 Iraqi orphans ahead of Eid.
