Increasing the number of its projects for orphans each and every day, IHH is planning to draw attention to the orphans with a special campaign. The foundation, which will put a smile on the faces of the orphans as part of the Orphan Solidarity Days, running between Feb. 1 and March 31, across 36 regions in the world, is planning to pay visits to orphans in 23 of these regions with charity givers, press members and IHH volunteers.
Thousands of children in the world are orphaned by wars, natural disasters, poverty and health problems every day. It is reported that there are 165 million orphans and children without a family in the world and five million of these children were orphaned by the Iraq War. IHH, which extends a helping hand to these children who are targeted by human smugglers, missionary institutions, organ and mafia gangs, aims to draw attention to the orphans and their problems. As part of this campaign, the IHH, along with charity givers and press members, will visit the orphans in their homes or orphanages across 23 different regions.
IHH has so far reached 23,282 orphans across 36 countries. In addition to this, the foundation is providing periodical aid to orphans in tens of countries and regions over five continents and aiming to meet living expenses of orphans. Thanks to its Sponsor Family Project, the foundation is providing regular support to thousands of desperate orphans in different countries of the world. IHH aid teams also undertake the care of orphans they come across during their visits to different regions throughout the year. A total of 23,282 orphans, the care of whom has been undertaken by charity givers for at least one year, look to the future with hope. With its, ‘Make room for orphans in your world’ campaign, IHH aims to include 5,000 more orphans to its Sponsor Family Project.
With this camping, IHH aims to create awareness about the orphans and their problems. IHH will also launch new orphan projects and make feasibility work for them while inspecting the ongoing projects. During the orphan days, IHH will take care of the problems of the orphans who live under difficult circumstances in the world and meet their expenses for healthcare and education.
In addition to the ‘Make room for orphans in your world’ campaign, IHH is also organizing a short-film campaign about orphans which is named, “White Pigeon.” The deadline for applications is May 21. The competition will have fiction, documentary and animation categories.
