Statement regarding the Mavi Marmara ship
Following events, the Mavi Marmara ship has been docked for a fee in the ports of our country for 8 years.
15.03.2018

The Mavi Marmara ship that departed with international activists with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, which is under illegal Israeli occupation, and broadcasting the voice of the Gazans to the world, was attacked by the Israeli military in international waters.

As a result of this attack, Israeli soldiers killed 10 people who were on the ship. Following these events, the Mavi Marmara ship was docked in the ports of our country for a specified fee for 8 years. Various attempts were made to make use of the ship in different ways both due to the initial mission of the ship, and high maintenance expenses, however, these attempts failed.

In view of all these factors, it was decided that the ship should be sold and that all proceeds from the sale of the ship will be used in projects that will facilitate the lives of the people living in Gaza that is under Israeli blockade.

Respectfully announced to the public.
