Yemn, who was one of the orphans supported by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s Sponsor Family System in Yemen, passed away due to a heart attack.
She lost her father Yemn Ali Abdullah Salih Al-Magrib, a soldier, in 2009, and was living in Yemen’s capital of Sana’a along with her three sisters and three brothers.
Last week, we were plunged into grief after we learned about the sudden death of Yemn.
As IHH, we offer our condolences’ to Yemn’s family and hope that Allah will treat the little girl with his mercy.
According to data from UNICEF, child deaths are frequent in Yemen mostly due to malnutrition. One out of every eight children below the age of five in Yemen faces death risk. In addition, more than half of the children below the age of five suffer from mental or physical disorders.
IHH supports 200 orphans in the country via its Sponsor Family System.
