Syrians are in horrible conditions due to the conflict, which has been going on for years. Over the last four years 300.000 people lost their lives. Since day one of the attacks, IHH has been delivering aid to the Syrian refugees.
Two coordination centres for logistics were set up in Reyhanlı and Kilis. On 30th July 2015 a big fire broke out in Reyhanlı centre from where 15-20 aid trucks are heading to the refugee camps inside Syria daily.
24.000-ton stores that were used to store food aid, medical aid and clothing aid in the centre which was built on 23-acre land in 2013, are currently out of use due to fire. The bakery of the centre, which produced 170.000 breads daily, also went up in flames. So far the bakery had produced 200-million bread for the refugees.
IHH Syria coordination centres have facilitated the aid work that delivered food to 1 million people, clothing aid to 600.000 people, and education to 257.000 people and medical aid to 444.500 people. Currently 50.000 refugees are living in the container cities and camps built by IHH in Syria.
IHH is putting its best efforts to reopen the bakery and logistics centres not to let the people in need down. Thanks to our donors we are planning to get the bakery and logistics stores back in gear soon.
You can donate for “rebuilding campaign” in order not to let the aid work come to a halt.
