Meeting with IHH executive board member Hüseyin Oruç, TAİM delegation discussed ways to improve channels of dialogue between Turkey and the Arab world.
TAİM President Avni underlined the importance of cooperation between Turks and Arabs, saying that a constant cooperation is needed.
“Muslims should not be divided; they need to be in unity. We need to share our experiences with each other, our institutions should provide support to one another. We have seen support from you for many times. We offer our thanks in particular for this,” he said.
With regards to the Humanitarian Aid Flotilla and Mavi Marmara ship, which was attacked by Israel on its way to Gaza in 2010, he said “With the flotilla and the following developments, you have made it to the hearts of every member of the Islamic world.”
For his part, IHH’s Oruç said they are always open to cooperation with the Arab world.
Oruç also presented miniature models of Masjid al-Aqsa to his guests as a gift.
