Tent cities for Gaza.
IHH humanitarian relief foundation has just built 6 tent cities for Palestinians in Gaza. Currently 870 families live there.
Palestine, Palestine-Gaza 07.02.2025

Since October 7 2023, 47,518 people have been killed and 111,612 people injured because of the Israeli attacks on Gaza. A total of 245,612 buildings have also been destroyed for the past 16 months.
Soon after the ceasefire, IHH established 6 tent cities in Gaza to urgently facilitate families whose houses were destroyed by the Israeli attacks. The tent cities were established by various IHH branches; Shijaiya Tent Camp was made possible with the contribution of Istanbul IHH; Shijaiya Park Tent Camp by Samsun and Erzurum IHH; Ankara Tent Camp by Ankara IHH; Emirsultan Tent Camp by Bursa IHH; Konya Tent Camp by Konya IHH; and Kocaeli Tent Camp by Kocaeli IHH. Meanwhile, the Konya IHH Tent Camp, established with the help of Konya IHH, is the largest tent camp built in Gaza, housing 300 tents.

In the newly built tent cities, there are also public areas such as mosques, educational spaces, and healthcare centers. A total of 688 tents have been set up, and 4,350 Palestinians, whose homes were destroyed and who were trying to survive by building makeshift shelters with their own means in harsh winter conditions, have been placed in these cities.

States must do what is necessary to stop the massacres in Gaza
A press conference titled “The Genocide Continues: Don’t Forget Gaza!” was held by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation. Speaking at the conference, IHH Secretary General Ahmet Göksun stated, “Just as states managed to stop the Israel-Iran war within 12 days, they must also do everything in their power to stop the massacres in Gaza. They owe this to humanity.” To the many journalists that attended the press conference held at the IHH headquarters, the first speaker, IHH Board of Trustees Member İzzet Şahin, emphasized that a great genocide and massacre is taking place in Gaza: “According to the US’ own admissions, bombs equivalent to the power of 6 nuclear bombs have been dropped on Gaza. The massacres in Gaza continue to take place. The blockade must be lifted immediately. For nearly 20 years, an unprecedented blockade has been imposed on Gaza. There were times when not even a glass of water could enter. Moreover, violence is used against civilians trying to break the blockade. Ships set out and are attacked in international waters. Others try to break the blockade by land and are prevented. If you are going to prevent these aid efforts, then you should deliver humanitarian aid yourselves. You must lift the blockade yourselves.”
