Thousands to gather for Masjid Aqsa on 31st May
IHH President Bülent Yıldırım said that “In the Islamic world in no other country except Turkey, Muslims have the right of say. Muslims are not speaking up anywhere”.
Palestine, Turkey 08.03.2014

IHH President Bülent Yıldırım has participated in a conference titled “IHH and Humanitarian Diplomacy” that was organized by the Youth Council of Sultangazi Municipality. Held at the Sultangazi Municipality, President Yıldırım highlighted the massacres occurring in the Muslim world.

“We were born as Muslims and God willing will die as Muslims – as Muslims we do not trample on the rights of others. When removing a pebble from the footpath is considered a reward, then we must help those who are being oppressed even if they are on the side of the world, because we are the caliphs of this world”.

Highlighting the importance of knowledge and the strength and will that stems from learning, Yildirim said that “In the Islamic world in no other country except Turkey, Muslims have the right of say. Muslims are not speaking up anywhere”.

Cherishing the memory of Esma and Furkan, Yıldırım also said that “They were both so young and I couldn't give enough time to either of them. At this moment there are tens of thousands of Esma's and Furkan's in the prisons in Syria, please pray for them all”.

Yıldırım also mentioned that he will participate alongside others in a march to commemorate the  memory of the Mavi Marmara which will have its anniversary on 31st May, and that there will be others who will also walk for Masjid Aqsa at the same time.

Pointing out that, “Goodness is everywhere” is the  slogan of IHH Yıldırım continued saying that “Believing in the oneness of God and the Prophet Muhammad is His Messenger is the belief of a Muslim. Each Muslim on this earth is a caliph and must live according to Islam. To be young is wonderful but youth never lasts for very long. To be a Muslim is a joyous thing but there needs to be a measure of that enjoyment which is marked by the borders of what is halal and haram”.

Yıldırım said that this is the fourth world war, and that Muslim in mid-Africa are being thrown live to crocodiles and stressed how the women and children were being persecuted in Palestine and Arakan.

Pointing out that there are nearly 200 million orphans in the world, Yıldırım also said that, “As IHH we have been able to reach out to 40000 of these orphans. Missionaries in Muslim lands reach out to them far more easily. Some have reached out to one million some to three million, especially in Muslims lands. Where the population was 80% Muslim – and Africa is an example of this – that statistic has dropped to 50%. One strand of your hair is far more valuable than the USA, the UK and Israel”.

At the end of the programme, the Sultangazi Mayor gave flowers to Bülent Yıldırım to show his gratitude in attending the conference.
