My visits to numerous cities of Turkey showed me the true face of IHH (The Foundation For Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief), gave me a chance to get to know this great organization that looks after the poor and the needy of Turkey. People in 120 countries of the world receive aid from the Foundation, IHH pours the fruits of goodness over these regions. This is a picture to reflect on and to look up to with respect.
IHH has neither an oil well or a gold mine of their own. However, this organization has an innovative and organized mindset within and this mindset gives them the opportunity to handle their work in a delicate and meticulous manner. Thus, in that way, IHH has managed to become a pioneer organization of international scale. Should the donations to the Foundation begin to arrive not only from Turkey but also from other countries, say from the Arab world, especially the oil-rich countries, then only IHH will become one of the largest international organizations working to perform social good for whole mankind.
IHH delivers aid, without discrimination.
On the other side of the equation, there lay the compassionate people of Turkey. Turkish people are supporting this foundation to the fullest and putting their trust in IHH. The most important thing is that Turkish people respond positively to IHH’s call for help to those outside the country. By doing so, IHH is helping people in various countries including those who are Christians. My findings about the Foundation especially require me to note this fact. Perhaps, here, I could ask this important question: What stops other people and nations from creating such a miracle of humanitarian and moral value without discrimination and by putting the humanitarian values in front of everything else?
This is a unique message in a world where the powerful are seen to be worthier than the weak, the weak are under oppression and they have access to nothing but the leftovers. This institution, IHH, is a pioneer for the humankind in terms of humanitarian values. When delivering help, IHH does not hurt the dignity of the aid-receivers. Besides, IHH delivers hope and smiles into the hands of those who reach out to the Foundation to receive aid. My trip throughout Anatolia together with Adem Ozkose, let me explore the whole new magical world of a nation which deserves to take its place among the ruling powers of the world. Turkey, unlike those countries putting their nuclear weapons on the table when it comes to establishing a balance among nations, puts solidarity, compassion and humanitarian values forward to progress expeditiously. I believe, the UN should take a break and let IHH take up their place. I believe, this will let the peoples of the world experience a great relief.
