Impoverished people picked up their clothes from a store rented by the foundation. Melikşah Yalçınkaya, chairman of the Akdeniz Association that acts as voluntary partner of the IHH, said they were gratified by IHH’s activities in the region. He noted that the IHH had dispatched a truck loaded with clothes to Mersin and added “The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has proved its capacity through organization of numerous projects in Turkey and abroad. We appreciate IHH’s sending aid to Mersin, where the number of low-income families and orphans is very high. We are trying to reach out to as many needy families as possible. In addition to distributing clothes, we provide regular foodstuff, meat deliveries at Eid al-Adha and educational supplies. We believe the number of opportunities we have will increase if we share them.”    

You can donate clothes to the needy

The IHH distributes aid in kind it receives to needy people. Aid materials donated by charitable people are dispatched to Anatolian cities in trucks and trailers to be delivered to needy families.
